Refund & Cancellation

1. Introduction

APNA GAON APNA DESH FOUNDATION (“Foundation”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to transparency in handling donations, service enquiries, and any payments accepted through its authorized channels.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellation requests, refunds, failed transactions, and any applicable replacement or exchange requests are handled.

The applicable rules depend on the nature of the transaction, the purpose of the payment, and any specific terms communicated before payment.

2. Donations and Voluntary Contributions

Donations and voluntary contributions are generally intended to support the Foundation's charitable and elderly welfare objectives.

Donation refund policy: Once a donation has been successfully processed and accepted, it is generally non-refundable and non-cancellable, except where a refund is required by applicable law or is approved by the Foundation under the circumstances described below.

A refund request may be reviewed in cases such as:

  • Duplicate donations made accidentally.

  • An incorrect amount caused by a demonstrable transaction error.

  • A payment debited from the donor's account but not successfully received or recorded by the Foundation.

  • An unauthorized transaction, subject to applicable bank, payment provider, and legal procedures.

  • Other circumstances in which a refund is required by law or approved by the Foundation.

Refunds are not guaranteed merely because a donor changes their mind after a completed donation.

3. Refund Requests and Timelines (TAT)

Please submit a refund request as soon as possible after identifying the issue.

The Foundation will aim to acknowledge a refund request within 3 working days and communicate its decision or request additional information within 7–10 working days, where reasonably practicable.

If a refund is approved, the Foundation will generally initiate it within 7 working days of approval, subject to verification and payment provider procedures.

The time taken for the refunded amount to appear in the original payment account may depend on the bank, card issuer, UPI provider, or payment gateway. The Foundation cannot guarantee the exact credit date controlled by those providers.

These timelines are indicative service targets and do not override any shorter or otherwise mandatory timelines under applicable law or payment network rules.

4. Refund Method

Where possible, approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method used for the transaction.

Depending on the transaction and applicable provider rules, refunds may be returned through the relevant bank account, card, UPI-linked account, or payment gateway mechanism.

For security reasons, we will not ask you to disclose your UPI PIN, banking password, card PIN, or OTP to process a refund.

We may request appropriate transaction details to verify the request. Please do not send complete payment card details or other authentication credentials by email.

5. Failed, Pending, or Duplicate Transactions

If your account has been debited but the payment status is pending or unsuccessful, please allow the payment provider's normal reconciliation process to complete.

If the amount is not reversed or the transaction is not resolved within the timeframe specified by your bank or payment provider, contact the Foundation with the transaction reference and relevant proof of payment.

Verified duplicate payments or amounts received in error will be reviewed for correction or refund, subject to verification and applicable rules.

6. Cancellation Policy

A. Donation Cancellation

A completed donation generally cannot be cancelled after successful processing and acceptance.

If you have scheduled a recurring contribution through an authorized payment provider, you should use that provider's cancellation mechanism or contact the Foundation for assistance before the next scheduled payment. Cancellation of future payments does not automatically reverse previous donations.

B. Enquiry and Volunteer Requests

You may withdraw an ordinary enquiry or volunteer application by contacting us through the channels listed below.

Such withdrawal does not create a refund entitlement unless a payment was made for a separately agreed service and a refund is due under the applicable terms or law.

C. Residential or Elderly Care Arrangements

If a residential care arrangement, admission fee, advance payment, or other paid service is offered, cancellation and refund eligibility will be governed by the specific written terms disclosed before payment, the nature of the service, and applicable law.

Please obtain the relevant written cancellation and refund conditions before making any payment.

Where no paid residential service or booking is offered, no residential booking cancellation process applies.

7. Return, Replacement, and Exchange Policy

The Foundation's ordinary charitable donations and elderly welfare contributions do not involve the sale of physical goods. Therefore, a return, replacement, or exchange policy for purchased goods does not ordinarily apply to such contributions.

If the Foundation separately offers a paid product or service, the relevant transaction-specific terms will specify whether returns, replacements, exchanges, or refunds are available, along with the applicable timelines and conditions.

Nothing in this policy removes a statutory remedy that applies to a transaction under Indian law.
