Our mission is to uplift villages, empower communities, and preserve our nation’s cultural and social fabric. We are here to bridge the gap between rural needs and sustainable development by focusing on education, health, livelihood, environment, and social awareness.We exist to create opportunities, inspire self-reliance, and work hand-in-hand with people to build stronger, self-sustaining villages—because when our villages grow, our nation thrives. Millions of people in India face discrimination on the basis of their gender, caste and economic backgrounds. These interwoven and complex inequalities further divide our societies and make the voices of millions go unheard. Unequal societies tend to have higher levels of inequality and poverty. We are here to beat discrimination and inequality. We believe in creating a society where people are not forced to fight for their right to life and security, to be heard, right to education, health, shelter, food and water. All lives are equal, and no one should face discrimination in realizing their rights. We believe the time to act is now.

Apna Gaon Apna Desh Foundation (AGAD Foundation) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to uplifting underprivileged communities across rural and urban India.

We believe that true development begins at the grassroots, and our mission is to empower villages, nurture education, improve healthcare, and create sustainable livelihoods.

Since our inception, we have launched 21+ long-term projects and adopted three villages to work on water conservation, small-scale industries, and social welfare.
